The University of Mississippi Medical Center invites you to its Ceremony of Thanksgiving for the institution's anatomical donors, those individuals who gave their bodies to the Medical Center for health professional education and research, at noon Wednesday, April 22.

Guest parking has been designated for this event at the Farmers Market at 352 E. Woodrow Wilson Drive. Shuttle service will be provided from the Mississippi Farmers Market to the Norman C. Nelson Student Union. Please arrive no later than 11:30 a.m. to allow for shuttle transit time. UMMC Police will be on hand to direct guests as needed. The ceremony will be held in the UMMC Cemetery.

A reception will follow the ceremony in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union.

Jones, MD, MACP, FAHA, chair of the guideline writing committee for the "2025 AHA/ACC High Blood Pressure Guideline" and former president of the American Heart Association (2007–2008), will be the keynote speaker at the 2026 Cardiovascular Disease Symposium. The symposium will be held from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the Sheraton Flowood The Refuge Hotel and Conference Center.

A reception will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
